Back to School Extravaganza

Published on August 7, 2013

It’s hard to believe it’s August already! This summer has been flying by, and soon the kids will be spending more time in the library and less time at the pool. And, let’s face it, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. There are times and seasons for everything.\n\nBut if your family is having a battle with the back to school blues, we’d like to change that tune! So make plans now to join us Saturday, August 24th, for our Back to School Extravaganza.\n\nThis year’s event features:\n

    \n

  • Mr. Cooper and his educational sing-a-long songs (11am & 3pm)
  • \n

  • A special performance by Radio Disney (1pm – 2:30pm)
  • \n

  • Educational vendor booths
  • \n

  • Games, Crafts, & more!
  • \n

\nPlus, if you donate new school supplies to River Oak Center for Children, you’ll receive a free goodie bag* and help a great organization in the process! (River Oak helps children at risk, troubled teens, and families through mental health services, social services, behavioral therapy, and family counseling).\n\nAnd to keep you beating the blues, we’ve decided to bring back our After School Special. So starting September 4th any week day you visit the park after 3 pm, you can purchase an Unlimited Ride Wristband for only $7.95–that’s half off the regular price!\n\nSo don’t let school get you down! Balance out the new routine with a little fun, and add us to your list of educational experiences. We’d love to see out the summer with you.\n\n*Goodie bags will go to the first 100 people who donate new school supplies.\n
